From March 9, 2023 post.

In the constantly changing world of technology, it’s easy to get lost and even easier to become vulnerable to potential attackers. To address that problem at the local level, technicians at Kit Carson Electric Cooperative have been hosting discussions on cybersecurity, something not often offered to rural communities.

Kit Carson Electric recently founded the Northern New Mexico Cybersecurity Council (2NM2C), which met for the first time in late February. An invitation to the meeting was extended to local businesses, both large and small, corporations and individuals with a knack for information technology (IT).

These meetings, which Kit Carson intends to host multiple times each year, focus on both consumer and workforce education in regard to cybersecurity.
