From March 1, 2023 post.

Attention all community members! We have some exciting news to share with you. Our university has received an incredible gift of a 36" telescope, which will be the largest publicly accessible telescope in the state. However, to make this a reality, we need your support to fund the observatory structure. We believe that this remarkable telescope should be accessible to all members of the community, and we need your help to make that happen.

As residents of northern New Mexico, we have the privilege of experiencing some of the most beautiful night skies in the world. Imagine the excitement of exploring the universe with a giant telescope, one that will be the largest publicly accessible telescope in the state. This is our chance to bring the community together and ignite a love of science and discovery in young minds.

However, to fully realize this dream, we need your support. We are participating in "The Big Give," a campaign that asks supporters to show up in large numbers and share what they can, no matter how small the contribution. With your help, we can reach our goal and bring this incredible project to life.

You can make a difference by contributing directly online at the link below. Every donation, no matter the size, will help us bring this incredible facility to the university campus and provide a unique opportunity for people of all ages to connect with the universe.

Let's show the world what we can do when we come together for a common cause. Be a part of something big, and support today!
