RED FLAG WARNING IN EFFECT FROM NOON THROUGH 5 PM MST TODAY FOR THE EAST CENTRAL PLAINS DUE TO STRONG WINDS AND LOW HUMIDITY... ...FIRE WEATHER WATCH IN EFFECT WEDNESDAY MORNING THROUGH WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON FOR THE NORTHEAST PLAINS, EAST CENTRAL PLAINS AND CENTRAL HIGHLANDS DUE TO VERY STRONG WINDS AND LOW HUMIDITY... .Strong winds will combine with low humidity and well above normal temperatures to bring a few hours of critical fire weather conditions to the east central plains this afternoon. Strong to potentially damaging winds will hit much of eastern New Mexico Wednesday and will combine with low humidity to bring more widespread critical conditions to the central highlands, northeast plains and east central plains.

Weather Watch...which is in effect from Wednesday morning through
Wednesday afternoon.
* AREA AND TIMING...Northeast plains and central highlands from
Wednesday morning through Wednesday afternoon.
* 20 FOOT WINDS...West 35 to 45 mph with gusts to 60 mph.
* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...14 to 18 percent.
* IMPACTS...Any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly.
Outdoor burning is not recommended.
