Wildland Firefighting Family

We are so grateful for our wildland firefighting family! Learn more about how you can help the families and loved ones of fallen firefighters in New Mexico and across the country through the Wildland Firefighter Foundation https://wffoundation.org/ and the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation https://www.firehero.org/.

Mr. and Mrs. Donald Vaucher from Eureka, Missouri, stopped by the Smokey Bear Historical Park on 9/20/2022. They are associated with the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation, a non-profit group who assists in funeral arrangements for the fallen Firefighters.

They "googled" New Mexico Fallen Firefighters Memorials and found the NMFFFM here at the Park and drove 1500 miles to get here. They took some pictures to add to the collection of photos and information on all 50 state memorials. New Mexico  was the last Memorial on their list.

Mr. Voucher is a Korean War combat veteran.
