Forest Road 284 has washed out in the middle of Rio de Los Pinos Campground. The road remains open, but only vehicles with high clearance are recommended at this time. Vehicles pulling trailers are not advised.
This semi-developed campground along its namesake river is on the Tres Piedras Ranger District and just a few miles away from the Colorado border and U.S. Forest Service-Rio Grande National Forest.
