Location: East side of Highway 518, mile marker 6. North of Storrie Lake
This is a NEW fire and is not connected to the Hermits/Calf Fires. Initial attack resources from Southwest Area Incident Management Team 2 worked with crews from San Miguel County and the New Mexico Forestry Division. Crews will monitor the area and address any remaining heat. Firefighters remain available for Initial Attack in the area.
