Convicting Lensegrav for Kidnapping and Killing

Convicted

Taos County Sheriff's Office issued the following announcement on April 2.

This week trial for 31 yr old Desiree Lensegrav of Taos was held. It concluded today with the jury convicting Lensegrav for her part of kidnapping and killing 30yr old Joseph Morgas.  Last year Aram Montoya pled guilty for his actions and got a life sentence.  Lensegrav will be sentenced in three weeks and could receive life plus 27 years in prison.

The case began when TCSO responded to a violent Domestic call and developed information that lead to the shallow grave of Morgas, who had been reported to NM State Police as a missing person over a year earlier.  State Police continued the investigation which lead to charging both Montoya and Lensegrav.
