Quay County Sheriff’s Office issued the following announcement on March 29.
The Tucumcari Police Department conducted a Search Warrant in the 400 block of east High in effort to locate Michael Anthony Romero Jr. During the Search Warrant we located him hiding in the residence and Mr. Romero was captured without incident. Mr. Romero had active warrants for Battery against a household member, Failure to comply with conditions of probation, failure to follow orders of the court. Mr. Romero has multiple other charges that are pending. The Tucumcari Police Department wants to thank the following agencies that assisted us in the Search Warrant: The Quay County Sheriffs Office, New Mexico State Police, Adult Probation Office, And the District Attorney’s Office Investigators.
