Of the 149 people living in Tecolote in 2019, 57 percent (85) were women and 43 percent (64) were men, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by the NE New Mexico News.

Males 18 and over outnumbered females in the same age group by a ratio of 31-to-28. In the 65 and over age range, there were 20 females and 17 males.
