City of Taos issued the following announcement on Dec. 23.
New Year’s Holiday: December 31, 2020 – January 1, 2021
CLOSURES INCLUDE: Town Offices, Public Library, Recycling Center, Youth and Family Center.
Landfill will only be closed on Saturday, January 2.
Proactive Quarantine Closure: January 4 thru January 15, 2021
CLOSURES INCLUDE: Town Offices, Public Library, Public Works, Recycling Center, Youth and Family Center
The Town of Taos will observe Martin Luther King Holiday on Monday, January 18, 2021 and offices will resume business on January 19, 2021.
Police Department and Fire Department services available throughout the Holidays by calling Taos Central Dispatch at (575) 758-2216
Taos Youth and Family Center (swimming pool and ice rink) will remain closed under the current state public health orders.
PLEASE NOTE: Regardless of closures, Taos Fire and Taos Police Departments respond to all emergencies 24/7 and the Public Works and Facilities Departments provide snow removal during inclement weather. Additionally, the Book Drop at the Public Library will be closed on the dates listed above and no items will be due during the closure.
