CITY OF RATON: Offices Re-opening

City of Raton issued the following announcement on Sept. 22.

The City of Raton is pleased to announce that City offices will open to the public beginning Monday, September 21st. Per Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham 's Executive Orders and guidelines set forth by the New Mexico Department of Health to reduce the spread of COVID-19 and to mitigate its impacts to the citizens of Raton, the following will be required from citizens wishing to do business in person with the City:

-A face covering is required to enter City Hall and/or other City offices;

-Follow all signage and maintain at least 6 feet social distancing;

-DO NOT come in if you are feeling sick;

-Offices will close to the public 1/2, hour early to allow time to clean and disinfect public areas.

-City Hall located at 224 Savage Avenue will be open to the public beginning September 21st from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Citizens may contact City Hall by calling 575- 445-9551.

Raton Water Works located at 224 Savage Avenue will be open to the public beginning September 21" from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Although the office is open, we continue to encourage customers to use our drop box on the east side of the building and utilize our online and telephone systems to make payments. Most business can be done over the telephone by calling the office at 575-445-3861. After hours, please call the Police Department at 575-445- 2704.

Raton Public Service Co. located at 344 North 2nd Street will continue to limit business transactions to drop box and drive up window ONLY. Most business can be done over the telephone by calling the office at 575-445-9861. After hours or emergency, please call 575-445- 3411.
