City of Las Vegas issued the following announcement on Aug. 27.
Mayor Louie Trujillo has created a speed enforcement campaign to slow down traffic in our community. This campaign is geared to education the public in the importance of traffic safety. The Las Vegas Police Department as well as all our surrounding agencies will be conducting extra traffic enforcement throughout the city in order to help slow the speed of traffic throughout the area.
Officers will be out enforcing speed regulations as well as all other traffic violations.
So remember watch your speed, wear your seatbelt, put down your cell phone and don't drink and drive.
As always be safe slow your roll and watch for pedestrians on the road.
