City of Raton issued the following announcement on July 8.
Dear Raton Community Members,
Thank you for sharing your views on the future of Raton through the community survey and/or the public meeting on March 3rd. We will be holding a second public meeting through a user-friendly online forum to receive your input. The meeting will be facilitated by the City’s consultant, Consensus Planning, and will include a presentation on the planning process, community survey results, draft goals and objectives, and alternative land use scenarios for how Raton may grow in the next 20 years. The Comprehensive Plan addresses all aspects of the community, including land use, community character, economic development, housing and neighborhoods, public services and facilities, transportation, infrastructure, hazard mitigation and more.
This meeting is open to the entire Raton community, so please forward the link to others that may be interested in attending. The public meeting will include a follow-up survey.
